There are so many cool things about being a photographer but one really cool thing is getting the opportunity to see old childhood friends and meet their growing family. Jason and I have known each other since we were 11 or 12 and its been so cool to get to know his beautiful wife Ashley and their two sons Kirby and Cal. I just adore this little family and had such a great time photographing the personalities of these boys!

I think most people (me included) go into photoshoots with expectations of what they want their photographs to look like. This past year I have tried to focus more of my attention on how my clients feel after the shoot is done. I want ALL of my clients to look back on their sessions and remember it as something they enjoyed and brought their family closer. I feel so blessed that people pick me to document such special moments in their life. I normally always bring along music to sessions and lately this crazy coincidence has been happening and it happened at The Smith’s session. I always wait to photograph mom and dad alone at the end and just as I was getting Jason and Ashley set up their very very sweet wedding song started playing on my new age boom box. As sweet sweet Ashley’s eyes welled up with tears it just made me love them even more! So, to the cute Smith family, thank you again for picking me as your family photographer!
